That is lovely and I would be very tempted if I had that money spare! May I ask reason for selling so soon? And would you do 18 months 0% credit?? ;)

I've just bought a Speedmaster MkII and can't really justify keeping this as well.
It's too similar to my Rolex Submariner.
I can do 18 months interest free no problem. A deposit of £1797 plus 18 monthly payments of £1.
It's an absolute bargain at this price. Nearly a grand off what is essentially a new watch.
I know this new model is a lot more expensive than previous versions but there's a big step up in quality including screwed bracelet links, ceramic bezel and an incredible dial.
My pictures really don't do it justice and don't show the gorgeous blue colour well at all.

    Curses !

I've just gone a blown my free cash on a Nord Stage 2 EX stage piano (yesterday !). This is a bargain if you have the cash.

Having said that, it is a bugger to get a decent tune out of the Omega.

Have a bump for a very nice watch.

Thanks for your offer, but I think it's already a very good price.
I don't really want to lower it so much at this stage.

Been looking at one of these for ages. Currently wearing a Seiko SKX007 to see whether I could put up with the lack of accuracy compared with quartz - seems that it doesn't bother me at all.

My work takes me to Preston (Samlesbury) most weeks so location is ideal for face to face.

Problem is that I'm in the US this week, on leave next week and probably staying down south the following week.

I'll be back up on the 13th July. You will probably have sold it by then but if not I will arrange to come and see it.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

I was really hoping to clear £1800 on this. If you could stretch to £1780 delivered we could have a deal.

Can you confirm where you bought it from and that you have the receipt?
And that there is no problem with transferring the warranty etc?

It was bought from Banks Lyon jewellers. I don't have the receipt, but all you need is the warranty card with the dealer stamp. The warranty is transferable and being a co-axial movement, the warranty is four years.

Can I ask, for such a high value item and it being only 3 weeks old, why you don't have the receipt?

    Of course you can.
I don't have the receipt because I didn't buy it. Believe it or not, I'm actually the second owner. I bought it from a long standing member on the TZ-UK watch forum where I'm also a member. I also have it advertised for sale there. It's common practice among many watch collectors to 'flip' watches. I had intended to keep it but decided the Speedmaster Mk II I've just bought (again on TZ-Uk) would fit better in my collection.
It's sometimes more of a disease than a hobby!
If you head over there and search the Heroes & Villians sub forum for Cynar you'll see I have a lot of feedback for both purchasing and selling high value watches. Rest assured that you can deal in absolute confidence. Any Omega dealer would be able to verify the authenticity of the watch, and had you been nearer, I'd have been happy to accompany you to one before purchase.

It appears the Heroes & Villains sub forum isn't visible to non-members.
Perhaps another member with access to TZ could verify my credentials.

    Thanks for that.
Still available and the cheapest I can find in the UK by quite some margin.

Is it not a little strange that the guy you bought it from didn't provide the receipt?
Are you willing to tell us what you paid for it? It just seems odd that 2 people would want to sell it so quickly after buying it brand new? BTW - It wouldn't put me off if I had the funds as I've owned 2 previous versions of this watch in the past and loved them to bits! The 1st one only cost me £500 2nd hand and the 2nd one was brand new but cost £1100. Just shows you how the new price has shot up over the years! ;)

Not strange at all. I rarely buy my watches from anywhere other than TZ, and I don't think I've ever got a receipt with a watch I've bought from there. It's the warranty card that matters. The TZ community is very protective of their own and there are so many experts that fakes are spotted a mile off. If anyone tries to do a dodgy deal they'd be hounded off in no time. Buying from an established member on there is probably the safest way to buy other than from an AD. It's extremely rare for a deal on there to go bad.
While it's possibly a bit unusual for a watch to be sold twice in a few weeks, it's not that rare. I'm sure Lewie or Alex will testify to that - it's known as flipping in the watch collector community.
When I bought it, I did intend to keep it, but I found it very similar to my Submariner. After all they're both divers' watches. Typically, soon after I bought it I spotted the Speedmaster MK II for sale and decided I'd prefer that. I once had a Bienne Restored MKIV that shared the same case design that I always regret selling, and I always liked the racing dial version of the original.
As for what I paid, you can be sure I'm not making any money on it. My Speedmaster arrives tomorrow so I want rid to balance the books, hence the very competitive price. I don't believe you'll find one similar at anywhere near this price.
I've actually been offered nearly as much as I'm asking from a dealer, so I dread to think what they'd sell it for. I'd rather someone gets the benefit, than a dealer make a big profit on it.
The price has shot up across the Omega range as the Swatch group try to realign the Omega brand as a direct competitor to Rolex.
The quality has also improved. In many ways I prefer this to my Submariner, but I can't sell that for sentimental reasons.

lol mmmm... Tell me, how can you prove its only 3 weeks old if there's no receipt?
Btw, im not being funny or anything I just like to have some sort of prove of these things that's all ;)

Also can you confirm that it is an absolute mint, as new condition? No marks, scratches or blemishes anywhere? And the crystal is in perfect condition?

The warranty card is dated and stamped by the dealer and bears the serial number of the watch. That's all you need to show to make a warranty claim at any Omega dealer in the world.
I can't see a mark on it. When I got it, it hadn't been worn other than to size the bracelet.
I wore it to the office for a few days and since I decided to sell it, it's been back in the box. I've seen watches in dealers with more marks on where they've been put in the window display.

I've seen the original purchase thread over on TZ and have also traded with the original seller - I'm sure the pictograms card will support the purchase date

Impulse buy because I'm on holiday and in a good mood so I'll offer £1500. I live nearby so can collect but willing to pay upfront, or at least half upfront.

I've been offered a lot more than that from Watchfinder, so thanks for the offer, but no.
