Question OLED Replacement Panel Experiences?

Active Member
Hi all,

I was hoping that some of you might be able to help me in terms of understanding what the process is when LG replace a panel for an OLED TV, not the main box?
In my case my 65" C9 OLED panel died a few weeks back, and after much too'ing and fro'ing with Richer Sounds, it looks like i'm not getting a full replacement TV, but just a panel. This immediately sets off alarm bells in my mind.
Will it be a refurbished panel? Or would it be a new panel? My previous experience of TV repairs is that they end up breaking again within a year (in my case on two occasions).
What are your experiences, if any? Am I worrying over nothing? I don't understand how you can even refurb a panel, but supposedly, according to Google, LG can and do, and/or use inferior panels as spares.

I will be a little annoyed if after paying £3300, I'll be getting a refurb 18 months later...

Any help/input would be great :smashin:
