    A quick show of hands, please... Would a £1,600 Denon DSPA1 (3yrs old) outperform the latest £4-500 AV amp (for DD & DTS only)??

    If you mean the Denon AVC-A1, which was £2,500 new, then yes. The Yamaha DSP A1, rrp £1,600, may show it's age more though.
