Does anyone know anywhere that sells the old style ps2's. I don't want the new stlyle slim ones as they don't take hard drives.
My previous ps2 just broke, and i'd prefer to buy a new ps2.

    Cheers

Your struggle to find an original PS2, only slim ones are made now, and what with the shortages b4 christmas stores were selling the old ones they had left. It's a bit like trying to buy a Crystal Xbox, can't find em anywhere but i'm sure a woolies store or somewhere like that will have one.

I think you'll have trouble finding one now that's new. You could try looking round for a secondhand one that was bought a few months to a year ago, that way you can avoid the almost inevitable DVDROM Drive failure for a while longer.

I think those Crystal Xboxes are hideous. I can't understand why people want to buy them.

Don't really want to go through ebay due to ps2 having week lenses. Would rather buy new from a retailer if poss.
You can use most types of IDE hard drives in the ps2, but this is a type of mod, and were not allowed to talk about it on this forum.

I didn't know that, interesting. If we were allowed to talk about it I'd ask how many games supported the HD instead of a memory card, but we're not, so I won't.

I'm quite tempted to say "You can make me an offer", as I quite fancy a slimline one and aren't too fussed about HDDs.

Had my PS2 about 3 months, it's the version 10 (i think) that has inbuilt remote and a quieter fan, would also come with a network adaptor (and controller, leads etc, obviously)

Ah, check out the thread titled hd advance for more info on the HD...
About the ps2, I am very interested. I think trades can only occur in the trades thread, I do have a wanted thread up. Could we move to there?
