'Old' Sony 37" TV

Old by most people maybe but it's had very little use; good picture; good sound. It has 2 HDMI sockets. I watch AMAZON Prime films on my computer but I'd rather watch them on a large screen after work; would an Amazon Firestick used in either socket give me access to Amazon Prime films? I've signed into the forum as a new member but to be honest I'm here to find the answer to a single question.

Wish me luck; email is [email protected]

Jim.

Yes you can add a Amazon firestick to your tv by using one of the hdmi ports.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Firestick will require mains power as I doubt your set will have a USB with great enough voltage output if at all.

All USB sockets have a standard 5V output.

My apologies I’ll blame a lack of caffeine, I meant amperage. Most older TV USB’s output 0.5a whereas the Firestick requires 1a.

Of course there are exceptions but it should be labelled next to the USB port or in the manual.
