Hi I'm on the verge of buying a new home cinema amp the denon 3805 is high on the list however I have noticed the pioneer ax3 is now on offer for £499, is the denon really worth an extra £400 !

    Does anyone have an alternative

It really depends on what features you're looking for. If you don't need Denon link (i-link) then the Denon 3805 is probably not worth the extra money imo. But it also depends on how power hungry your speakers are.

The AX3 is a good amp, however there are a lot of newer amps at the same price (or even cheaper) which would probably have the same if not more features.
