About 5 or 6 years ago, I bought what was considered a decent 65” at the time, first of the 4k generation TVs, the Samsung ue65hu8500
Cost was just over £3k which seems high compared to TVs nowadays.
I’m sure technology has changed over the years, but wondered how this old set compares to newer lower end models nowadays?
I use an AV system for sound, so internal speakers are never used. Does say a £1500 OLED completely trump this old screen, or are the differences marginal?
At the time, OLED in 65 was rare and priced similarly.
Samsung UE65HU8500 (HU8500) Ultra HD 4K TV Review
Samsung get 2014 off to a strong start with the UE65HU8500 flagship model. It's got the lot including Ultra HD 4K, 3D, Smart TV and a curved screen of course.
