Hi, wonder if anyone can help me to track down a dvd, or, a vhs:blush: of a 1957 film, "The Student Prince", starring Edmund Purdham, with the voice of Mario Lanza. This is NOT the 1997 film with Robson Green in.
The film must be in PAL (for the Mother-in-laws telly:blush: )so cannot come from America where they are all NTSC.
Have tried searching on the web but with no luck.

    Any help much appreciated

    Thanks

I looked on IMDB and they are only showing the video for the US and Canada.

I do not know if it is possible but can you transfer it to your computer (that’s if your video does NTSC) and burn it to DVD. Or if you have a marovision blocker transfer it to a pal video. Then keep the 2 tapes/DVD and receipt together, just in case it is a bit iffy on the legal.

Ah ‘The Drinking Song’ and ‘Golden Days’

Very occasionally the original b/w Lubitsch version is screened at the Festival Hall with a full live orchestra. I was lucky enough to catch it a couple of years ago and it was AWESOME. If you enjoy the film you might find it worth the effort.
