OK to put an LCD TV above a radiator

Hi - first-time poster, and not particularly technically astute.

Thinking of getting a Toshiba 42WLT66 and putting it on the living room wall. I gather it's a bad thing to put a plasma TV near a heat source, like a radiator. I was wondering if it's considered inadvisable to put an LCD TV above a radiator? The space we have in mind would be about 8 inches above a radiator.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

You might be ok, in that LCD's don't produce much heat in themselves, but it's never advisable.
I'd say it really is your own risk.

I'd be interested to hear what others think here as I'd normally say no way.
