I have gone for the Acer, should arrive today.

There is a thread on it here if you haven't seen it....

Was going to go for the Toshiba 27WL55 at £499, but was taken off the website for a few days and is out of stock (but back on site now) from Pixmania

    http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/104183/art/toshiba/stasia-27wl55-16-9-27-68.html

Have seen the Tosh working, looked good, will post which I like most out of the Acer and Tosh once I get it....

I won't go into many details now, I did receive the Acer TV yesterday but had very little time to play with it. I did try a few DVD's on it though, and so far 'Very' impressed

I'll move it downstairs today so I can test it with Sky.
I did quickly plug the PC into it, and a very nice pic using DVI cable at 1280*768 :)

TV looks very nice too, once I have tested it with Sky i'll post again, and try to include some pics.

(just so you know, from the DVD playback, it's certainly as good as the Tosh :) so looking good so far)

    Hi

I had the same problem, I took mine back for a refund and got richer sounds to price match the latest 26" Sharp the LC26G5E. This was £120 more than the sonix. The Picture is better with more colour, although with a low bitrate show the picture can get a bit ropey on Freeview. Set it up with the THX Optimiser of a DVD and the picture is brilliant and it is also true 16:9, not 15:9.

    Hope this helps

    Sean :smashin:
