Ok, after you guy's put me in touch with Liam from www.progressive-av.com I today now have a zero bank balance, but will have delivery of my new setup tomorrow.

After Liam's advice hav gone for the Pioneer 43" MXE-1 in Silver and the Lumagen DVI Scaler complete with the SDI mod so we will see what its like tomorrow. Will be using this setup with Standard Sky Digital and Sony DVP-NS400D DVD Player, for Sound have the Sony DTS / 5.1 Cinema Receiver.

Wish I could have stretched to the Philips 963 with SDI Mod but will have to do with RGB for the time being, at least I'll be able to see the difference when I eventually save up for it !!! LOL

Will let you know whats its like tomorrow.....

Thanks again for the boards recommendations, thanks to Liam, what he doesn't know about AV isn't worth knowing, come's highly recommended from me now and especially if the goods are as good as he says, sounds like he bin playing with my TV all WEEK ! , I mean how many hours life have I now lost on me panel !

PS !, I couldn't stretch to a Pedestal Stand so if anybody has a 2nd Hand one to fit the Pioneer PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!

Excellent kit, but to get the absolute best rob a bank and invest in SDI. You will not regret it.

If its this good without The SDI DVD Player, I just cannot wait until I get me SDI DVD !!!!

Do you think the misses will go of it when she gets in from work, I kinda had to nick the coffee Table !!!! :D

My only problem is I have noticed whilst watching a few DVDs this afternoon its almost like the cast are miming ?, the picture seems to be slightly behind the voice ???

A fairly common problem - search for "lip-sync" - caused by the time it takes the panel to process and display the picture. Most new amps have the ability to add a delay....more expense!

Scalers cause video delay, though the Lumagen, according to Gordon, causes less than another well known brand! I find Pioneers have more delay also, so likely you are noticing the cumulative effect of the 2. There may well be audio delay in your amp, time to get the manual out.

There are cheaper standalone audio delay devices. Sky can be pretty bad for this.

    Rob another bank

This is getting me down a bit, once you notice it its very hard not too see it, even the misses has already noticed it, I have blamed it on the program, but not sure how long I can keep that excuse going....

You know what they'll say, all that money and the bloody voice doesn't match the picture !

Clarkson described it as 'like it has crashed through Halford's shop window'. Well put I think.
