Hi. Having carefully soldered off 3 fat gold RCAs on one end of my component cable, I've discovered that they touch each other when plugged into my projector (AE300) and DVD player.

I've put a multi-meter across the outer contacts of the 3 projector plugs (and DVD ones) and they appear all commoned, so I'm guessing it won't be a problem, but wanted to make sure.

So, is it ok as it is, or do I buy a set of narrower RCAs and redo them?

    Cheers, Niall.

Not too sure if I'm understanding this right, but I think you're referring to the outer 'shell' which surrounds the 'hot' central point. If so then you're okay since the shell is the earth and so common to all signals.

Thanks for reply, and confirmation of what I thought (yes, their outer shells are touching). Now I can get up into the cramped ceiling space to make of the other end - can't wait...
