I can buy a JVC GR-D73 for £334 from AJ Electronics (Internet) or the Canon MV650i from Jesops £350 (local shop but older model)

Which one would you buy and why

I prefer the JVC remote and its a bit smaller than the Canon but thats all so its a close run thing

Canon, price the cam online and if you find it cheaper jessops should match it.
has: more powerful zoom, has mic input, has hotshoe mount for mic or light, user interface is friendlier.

Interesting Roy, Shopgenie and dealtime are quoting prices from £499

Internet direct do it for £449

So would not be able to get price match

What about sound recording noise from the motor, isn't this a problem with the Canon?
