OK guys can you help me out here scart to scart

    OK guys can you help me out here im looking @ getting some Scart to Scart Lead's i belive i nead @ lest a 3.0m lead but
    what i wont to KNOW is if i get a 5.0m scart lead will there be any lose in the signal quality
    THE Scart leads im looking @ getting are IXOS XHT611
    THERE be used on
    (1) plus2 DVD HiScan 128X dvd player

    (2) SKY box

    and the screen is a hitachi 42pd3000 so the scart lead will be going in to the hitachi tuner box
    any help on this thanks guys

    There will be some loss in signal quality over that distance, but noticing it without a back-to-back test is unlikely. Everything about home cinema seems to be a compromise in one way or another!

    ok so what would you guy think get the IXOS XHT611 5.0m cable are go with a cheaper 3.0m cable both would be OFC

    yer i sean them befor @ maplin look nice but im after flat cable scart leads' but thats a good price

    Basically, just pick some that have decent looking termination blocks on each end and individual screening for the conductors and you'll be fine.

    I have the IXOS 611, can't tell you about the performance tho as I havn't really used it, it looks really smart tho!

    same as me m8 i have a 5.0m IXOS 611 cable here but i think it to much naw for what i nead so its still in its box

    I used a 5m scart to scart for ages (and not of the quality of the Ixos) and never found any problems with quality loss.
