Just thought I'd update everybody because I finally got my first projector on Saturday

After all the dem's I opted for :-

    Infocus 7205 dlp projector

At the moment its running of a vga lead on a HTPC firing onto a white wall

This week I will receive the DVI lead and next week my six foot fixed screen should arrive.

However i still think its FAB FAB FAB

Have yet to try it with hi def material, got plenty to watch just waiting for the screen and lead first so I can see it at its very best. Hi def material will be closley followed by first 3 star wars dvds and west wing season 4 dvds which are sitting on my desk !!!

Yesterdays grand prix was brill !

    SOOOOOOO HAPPY !

I am very interested in the 7205, could you tell me how loud it is? I have not had the chance to demo it yet but I would appreciate you input :lesson:

    cheers

    Before I bought 7205 I had a demo of :-

    sim2 domino 20
    sim2 domino 30
    sim2 300
    sim2 300 extra
    themescene h77
runco 510 ( i think that was the model )

H77 quietest by a mile but i thought awful picture. 7205 about the same as Sim2 300 extra which are quieter than all the rest.

Its not silent but I can live with it directly behind sofa on a shelve.

    hope this helps

ps. the picture is better than all the above
