    a little quierie..

i am getting a new amp, RX-v650, and i have a Tannoy mercury set up,
which currently is 5.1 and the new amp is 7.1. so i am replacing my m1's at the rear with 4 new speakers. (smaller micro speakers)

now i have seen speakers which i think will do but the are rated at 6ohms, and my other speakers are 8, will it make any difference as i'm sure the impeadance selecor on the amp is either 4/6/8. can you have the front 3 speakers at 8ohms and the rear 4 speakers at 6ohms, or will it damage the amp?

Shouldn't be a problem at all. There have been quite a few questions on speaker/amplifier impedence in the last few days so check the speakers and amplifier forums if you want to read up on it. :)
