Spotted this which is about what to expect from X05 and this which is about Live V2.0. Going to be an interesting couple of days!

OMG!!! Pant creaming time yet again!! Whilst i'm no FIFA fan those shots are amazing - they are as good (if not better) than the FMV stuff we get now!!

The shots of PDZ, GOW and COD2 are also absolutely stunning!! I really can't believe how much better games are looking - please, please let it be December 2nd in the morning!!

I've edited this thread to be the official X05 thread as like Loz says it's best to keep all the info in one place.

I've also been looking at the Madden screenshots, Battlefield 2 screenshots, NFS Most Wanted screenshots and this amazingly life like new shot from NBA 06!! Check out the sweat on the player, it is simply astonishing the level of detail that developers are getting out of the 360 so soon!

They are looking great, I felt that the movie showed of this game better though - it all looked very cinamatic.

I hope those pdz shots are not a good indication of the final version, because I don't think they resemble the quality of the other titles already been shown on the 360. Comparing these to PGR3, Kameo, NBA and Madden not to mention the others, it looks awful.

Yeah you best if you think those new shots look good? they are bloody crap! the video looked good so i'm shocked by those shots.

They do look poor - maybe they are quite old - I'm sure the version on show at X05 will look better than that - if it doesn't I'll be cancelling my preorder!!

They look a lot better moving, especially the animation of the people and the effects. I must admit that the scenery looks panys on those shots - the trees for example are very last generation.

Just remembered the vid that was going around a week or so ago - doh!! From memory it looked a lot nicer - especially the city levels!! - Perhaps I should just wait until we see some new official video footage!

Am I missing something here, or is it just sarcasm? The screenshots are amazing, just look at the bump-mapping and attention to detail! The second shot down, look at her hands - stunning. Imagine this running at 60fps, it's a level above what I was expecting...

I think its just that the game doesn't translate into static shots that well (or that they are not doing the game justice). Some things look nice but to me the overall look just doesn't seem right? Have decided to reserve judgment until some Hi Def vids from X05 are released - after all as I said earlier, the previous footage looked really nice!

Exactly, the thing looks amazing when it's running - the characters look almost lifelike when they move and the effects are fantastic! Some of the backgroung stuff looks a bit basic in some of the shots (i.e. the trees in the first shot) but then some of them look great (i.e. the last shot).

I'll reserve judgement until some more movies come out but the ones I saw the other day looked great!! I do think people are being harsh on these shots though. Here's a shot of the N64 version (which was graphically amazing when released).

hold on, those pics look pants on my LCD at work, but fab at home on CRT monitor. must be the JPEG compression ruining it

EDIT: oh when i say pants i mean comparing them on monitors, they still look fantastic!
