Official HDMI cable worth it?

is it a waste of money when you can get cheaper options for a 3rd of the price?


I got my PS3 yesterday and was shocked they only supply composite cables for something they sell as HD equipment..... enough of that... I looked at the official HDMI cable and couldn't bring myself to part with £30 for that....

anyone got one or seen one who can tell me whether its worth it over the budget ones?

But to be honest, a £10 one will do the job just as well.

Where do you get the official PS3 HDMI cable from in the UK apart from ebay? Any links would be helpful.

They're quite hard to get hold of on the net, but my father in law got one in our local choices on launch day so they are about.

i got a cheap HDMI cable off ebay for £4 (inc. P&P) - works perfectly.

Remember, HDMI is digital, so more expensive cables wont give better picture. Either it works or it doesn't.
