Office 2007 problem

I have Office 2007 installed on my computer, but Windows update insists on offering me updates to 2010.
Any ideas why?
I have never run Office 2010, so how do I stop these unwanted updates?
I downloaded them as a last resort, but surprise surprise, they failed to install.

Hi, the article below appears to explain why you have been offered the updates, still seems odd to me as I have Office 2007 and have not been offered these.
