Last night, I started playing some music on my Marantz PM4200, Mission 780 off my comp on Audigy 2. The sound from the right one was normal but the sound from the left sounded like it was coming out of headphones while sitting well away from them. So thinking they were broken, I didn't use the left one anymore till this morning when i got my new amp (nad c370). After about 5 minutes, they stopped sounding like headphones and started sounding normal. Can anyone explain this? And will it happen again?

No i bought the Nad off these forums. After about 5 minutes with the Nad it went away. I don't think it is a problem with the amp because it did happen with the Nad for a while and also I switched the cables around in every possible way. But it seems to have fixed itself, but still a bit dodgy.
