Rented Ocean's 12 DVD last night. As a big fan of the 1st I was really looking forward to seeing it after missing it in the cinema. I was very disappointed. It is not a patch on the 1st. You get the feeling it was made just to make some money - the story was very weak and a lot of the actors seemed to be going through the motions. Lets hope they stop it now and not make no.13 !!

    or the prequel ocean's 10 ;)

i agree with you here, the film was very disappointing. you didn't get to see the burglaries in much detail, most of them being flashbacks, which i didn't like because i thought that was the best thing about the original. There were some really funny scenes, like the one with Pitt, Clooney, Damon and Coltrane, but mostly it was fairly lacking. I won't be getting it on dvd for the moment, perhaps when it's 4.99 or something i'll get it just to complete the series..

I was really disappointed with the film, but I suppose it had a hard act to follow. Still with a cast like that they could have done better.

It seemed to me that they had too much of a good crack making it that it was better making it than watching it.

    If that makes sense.

Another example of a sequel made without 'love' and further evidence that a famous cast doesn't help if the story sucks. I found the whole film pretty bad actually, the only funny part was the cameo by BW. All IMO of course. :)

I rented it in R1 - local shop stocks them.

And yes, Bruce steals the show !!

I'm just back from Barcelona, where I picked up the Spanish R2 version, which just came out on Tuesday. I've watched a couple of minutes, just while I was checking the disc out, but I'll give it a proper watch later.

I thought it was a good film. Not quite on a par with the first one - but nearly.

BTW, was it just the red outfit, or does CZJ have enormous knockers?

I suppose they give Michael Douglas something to do in his retirement

Also, thought Bruce Willis was a bit wooden in his 'role'
