Another forum couldn't help so here I am back...
We have recently inherited a giant Sony digital TV - KDL46V2000 - from our son. From time to time it will suddenly go near-silent only to regain its voice some time in the future. This happens when viewing cable and a shift to digital is needed.
Mrs P says it happened on digital once but seems a little unsure...
Is this an occurrence others have experienced and is it connected with
Virgin Media?
Sony Bravia?
Cheap modern production methods?
Time of day?
Goblins?
The volume is ALWAYS very much lower when listening with headphones - the gauge has to be moved from approx. 15 to 50-60 to be heard clearly via the 'phones. This applies to various ones jacked in, from buds to big old cans. This is because of their higher impedance or dodgy output balancing by Sony?
