You see their faces playing small parts (often uncredited) in your favourite movies and you have no idea who they are.

#1 Al Leong. Seen here pinching a Hershey bar in Die Hard
    [IMG]
and here slicing up a good guy in Big Trouble In Little China.
See his filmography in the IMDB http://us.imdb.com/Name?Leong, Al

I think it will be interesting to build up a list of these types of people.
I have another one who played a guard in Clear & Present Danger and a street gangster in Predator 2. He's latin with long black hair and plays bit parts (who get killed) in a few movies.
Since I don't have either of the above movies on DVD I can't show you what he looks like.
I'd like to know what his name is, though.

these guys are often in major films and always in work-without the downside of any unwanted publicity.

I seem to remember him in that film "from the 80's", The Money Pit. I think he was Shelley Long's ex-husband

Dave Sheridan - Hes been in quite a few films but I dont think I know more than 3 people who actually know who he is. He played Doofy in Scary Movie, was in ghost world, and was also in the Chilli peppers new video.

Alexander Godunov was remarkably charismatic as "the watchmaker" in "The Runestone" - makes you wish he'd had more of an opportunity to flex his acting muscles.

Robert Helpmann was a ballet dancer - you can see some of his dancing in "The Red Shoes". Although he was quite old by the time they made "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (60?) I still think the way that he moves as the Child Catcher is rather fascinating.

Sorry, getting rather off-topic there.

I don't think he was in "Gremlins". I tend to remember him most as the mercenary assassin character in "Raising Arizona", and the mute thug who is converted to working for the good guys in "The Golden Child", but he's done quite a lot of other stuff. See here.

the guy I was thinking of was Dick Miller - Gremlins, Terminator, Pulp Fiction (although I think his scene was cut but tarantino loves the guy 'cause he's been in so many films) The Howling, V, and loads more - http://us.imdb.com/Name?Miller, Dick (I)
I think he's got to be up there...

The guy from Desperado, I think he is called Gerardo Moscoso, the hitman with all the throwing knives. He seems to pop up in the background of a few films.

Danny Trejo you mean? Now he should be the CEO of this thread... for my money he's the most recognisable, hardest-working 'unknown' actor in Hollywood today.
