I thought the voicemail was dificult to use after being used to Orange, it took longer to get hold of an CS person when you wanted one, and the web site and contact details were crap.

Reception and 'normal' use of the phone was OK though.

I ended up putting my Orange sim in the O2 phone.

Good thing is that the contract phones come unlocked. Nice one for that O2

Im on O2...... I think they, like most others, really get their arms in for calls which arent prepaid. When my contract concludes, I intend to switch to '3' and make use of their calls being to any network and anytime

I switched to O2 from Vodafone.

And then Vodafone build a new cell almost on my door step - Duh!!! :)

As to O2, where I am they've poor coverage. Where my fiancee works they've got poor coverage. Where I work they've got poor coverage. Guess what? :)

Also an SMS sent from an O2 phone to an O2 phone takes a long time to arrive (unless we're in close proximity to each other). Like upto 4~5 hours long! From an O2 phone to Orange its very quick.

Also I've been unable to call out a lot, and regarding incoming calls the phone sometimes just hasn't rang (even when its had a signal) and callers have gone straight to voicemail.

Their online site is ropey, but good when it works.

As the saying goes, you pay peanuts, you get peanuts.

I will not be renewing my contract (and am trying to get out of this one).

I switched from Orange to O2 about 2 years ago and have never looked back.

Whilst Orange undoubtedly excelled in the area of Customer Service (IMO), their unreliability (signal would sometimes vanish for 2-3 hours in areas where there was good coverage), lack of coverage in my area, and high call rates put me off.

Never had a single problem with O2 :smashin: :)

    O2 *shudder*

Compared to the quality of customer service I recieved from the other networks (admittedly many moons ago) I would not change from Orange.
