I got a text message today saying "o2: Get ready for o2 4g. We're giving you 4g access at no extra cost from 11 Feb"

Just a shame the 02 4g network isn't in my area. But I was in London tonight and was able to connect via 4g. A quick speedtest produced the following

Just need 4g at home now!!

    Pretty good speed that,

Why do you only have 100MB to use?

All O2 customers with a 4G ready phone will get it for free in the next 2-3 months. However if you already have a 4G phone and want it now, simply phone customer services and they upgrade you free of charge. Customers paying for 4 g will have their contract prices reduced I understand I got my free upgrade by phoning

Am I right in thinking that Vodafone are the last not offering it for free? I know ee technically doesn't but a few seem to have got their orange contracts upgraded for free. Still think o2 are overpriced but it's good to see 4g competition starting to heat up on the price front
