Finally, after 2-odd years of waiting, Blue is back on Channel 4 tonight at 11.35pm.
Did you see Monday's? If yes, what did you think?
I thought it was very good but due to the 2 yr gap, I had forgotten a bit about the story line regards Kirkendall's ex husband.
i thought it was very good as well but I was surprised to see that 2 year old storyline still running strong, is Jill still in it because I didn't see her although she was mentioned?
Good to have it back, graveyard TV at its best!
All is once again right with the world, at least until Channel 4 go and balls it up again.
It all came flooding back... The best show on TV.
This was the first episode in the 2000-2001 season. There are two more seasons to show after this one, with, as I've been hinted at by spoiler happy friends from across the Atlantic, massive changes! They better hurry up and get showing them.
Aye, cracking tv indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a touching moment when Andy volunteered to have a jab with his son.
But can anyone help me with my memory loss - What happened to Andy's wife? Did she die or simply leave? Curse my old age!
doh! didn't realise they were showing the seasons we've missed thought they were going straight into the present ones.... but I suppose that wouldn't make much sense.
Andy's wife was killed in a courtroom shooting, and Upstairs John (the receptionist) was also wounded.
I'm looking forward to the blonde from anti-crime becoming a full-time detective
PS what did you mean by "Did I see monday's"? I didn't think it was on Monday!
Oh yeah... eight more weeks till her arrival.
Oops, I meant Tuesday night.
So she was killed in a shooting. Damned my memory.
I am glad NYPD is back, that and E.R. , with The Shield gone and the last Sopranos on Thurs, I was going to suffer withdrawal symptoms. VMax
Wasn't that Sipowitz's wife with him in the hospital scene in this week's episode? if not and you are posting spoilers for future episodes please use major spoiler warnings.
Isn't that his ex-wife?
As said above, his wife was killed in a shoot out.
Great to have it back though and hearing that familiar music again.
Definitely his ex wife in those scences. No spoilers have been in this thread. We have only discussed present and past.
Def' agree on the music. There is something warm and familiar about it. Damn, I'm sad.
That's his ex-wife Katie. His last wife and Theo's mother, Sylvia Costas, was killed outside the courtroom during the Cullinan case that she was actually prosecuting, in the last episode of the 1998-99 season.
Putting an end to that...
As for the music, I have to turn it up as loud as possible. Those drums just send chills down my spine. I'm sadder than you!
Without a doubt, the theme music is excellent. Have to entirely agree with you on the drums. They really add to the anticipation of the show's start. Terrific stuff.
