    Hi,

After more than two years of being fobbed-off with excuses, lies and general deception from the idiots who work at Channel 4, I have the best news!

British fans of the acclaimed Steven Bocho police drama "NYPD Blue" will finally get to see Season 8, as of next week, on Channel 4. :) :)

My source? Only the Radio Times!

Anyway, at long last, it's back! Admittedly, the USA is now starting Season 10, but at least C4 have decided to let us see the show from where British viewers left the show more back in October 2000!

That's the best news I've heard since my mate told me that they'd decided not to cancel Farscape after all.

    Shame the bitch was lying.

    Hi,

The Radio Times did not list dates, just that the show was due back on UK screens, next week. This was from an article on US TV shows coming to UK TV screens, in the issue cover-dated 9-15th Jan 2003. (THe one with a green cover of Tamzin Outhwaite, I think.)

So, expect it on our screen in the middle to late of the same month!

Great news. I haven't seen NYPD Blue in ages.

Shame we had to hear it here instead of (shock) on channel 4! If it wasn't for these forums, I'd never know what's on TV. :)

Channel 4 are trying to plug Philly which is on late - after Bull usually - and coincidently made by NYPD Blue lot. C4 never cease to amaze by dumping things in stupid times and yet acting as if it's not too much to expect people to be up or vcr chasing at varying a.m. times.

Absolute bloody cobblers of course. NYPD Blue was one of the jewels in Ch4's crown and was always getting superb reviews in the media. I checked their website a few months ago and actually found a Q&A section which claimed that they were up to date with NYPD Blue and that no more episodes had been made recently??????!!!!.

There is something very strange going on here.

didn't it all get a bit silly when Jimmy Smit's character died though and they started using dream sequences? It was once very very good tho!

    23:35 on Tuesday 14th January.

Should be on earlier, but Channel 4, using their ultimate intelligence have decided they like being stupid a lot more.

The logic runs with C4 that if a healthy bunch of viewers show support for something they do their very best to screw it up out of weird spite. However, if people complain at somethings content etc. they do their best to defend it and buy as much of it as possible - need an example, tip, just look at their listings the last few years.
NYPD Blue was a puller for C4 and you'd assume that a break could've done it some good in take-up. Hell, even Spielberg saw the worth in James McDaniel to cast him in a prominent position in Taken, which even a fool might've considered latching onto with a ad or three featuring the man. But no.
