    Hi all

    Just a quick question....

Sorry to be a bit thick on this, after connecting up my HD5 to the pc and by using Sonic Stage, can I transfer tracks back from the HD5 and then burn the atrac plus3 tracks to a normal CD for playing in any CD player???

    Thanks for any help

    Paul

No. You can use the tracks on your pc and burn them to a normal cd format. You should NOT delete your ripped files from your pc! The HD5 is a player, NOT a backup/storage option! DRM means you can't copy files FROM the HD5 TO the pc.

It's a PITA, but yeah, this is how DRM works. OTOH, if you rip your own CDs using SS and uncheck the DRM option, you can simply copy the files to a backup drive and later import them into SS on any pc.
