Browsing the Sony website recently I was looking at the new Sony head units for the car (some pretty classy looking stuff actually - a vast improvement on recent years IMO).

Anyway on one particular head unit I noticed within the specs,

"Walkman Control compatible with an optional adaptor"

I asked Sony about this feature, explaining that I would soon be receiving an NW-HD5HS. Their response was,

"I can advise that we do have plans to release a cradle and adaptor for our
Hard Disk Walkman for use with in car head units such as the CDX-F7750S.
This will allow you to control the NWHD unit with either the steering column
    or Infrared remote control.

Unfortunately, I am unable to confirm the features and model number as this
has not yet been confirmed. However, as soon as full details are available
they will be posted on our website, www.sony.co.uk."

So control of the player through the head unit .... very cool
