If you read my post cafefully you would have noticed (because I highlighted it for you), you used the word 'Theat' instead of thread. I was merely making a joke of it.

P.S. We generally don't tell people to shut the **** up on here. We're friendly like that. :D

    Stahlhart,

It is a joke. Humour. Funny, you know? There was no offence meant, and I did not try to teach you like a 'little kid'. If you see something written by me, with a :D next to it, it's not a serious comment.

I apologise for upsetting you so much!! :hiya:

I think I have a tear in my eye thinking about it...

you should have a lot of tears in your eyes!

but to come back to the technical things going on in this forum, mrtbag what player do you have?

i just got my remote for my nw-hd1 and it's awsome! even if audiocubes sent earphones instead of the remote fisrt and because of that i had to wait two weeks longer to get it - it was worth it!

In response to your thread it would seem the NW-HD1 is better as it has the charging cradle that was taken away on the newer model also the older model well model no. is cheaper as well. check out www.amazon.co.uk i picked one up for £195 with 1 day delivery option!

The HD1 can only be charged via the cradle. The HD3 vis the USB cable.

Apart from colours, size and slight difference in build quality, there's nothing between them.

HD3 is about 1mm bigger and weighs a little bit more and is made of aluminium.

HD1 is magnesium alloy. Better built.

Not necessarily. The HD3 is a native MP3 player out of the box and the HD1 is not. Carrying a cradle & psu around for charging purposes is not as convenient as a single cable.

Yes the cradle needs the PSU powered into it in order to charge the player. In fact the PC won't recognise the player via the cradle alone. It has to be powered by PSU.

No that will not work. Only the cradle for the HD1. It's not a big issue since it is pretty good on battery life ~30hrs.

I suggest you do some reading up to get you fully upto speed. It's a pretty long thread but plenty of good info in here

    http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=96770

Also don't mean to p*** on your parade but some of us picked up the HD1 for £149 recently from Argos. They are now completely out of stock. Next best deal is RS at £179.
