I purchased a Dell Alienware Area 51 R2 PC. The graphics spec on it is over the top for what I need for photo editing so I am selling off a couple of the graphics cards

It is currently fitted with 3x GTX980 cards in SLI.

this is overkill in the extreme for me, so I am keeping 1 card and offering the other 2 for sale.

Here is the Dell link to the part Dell 4 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Graphic Card : Parts & Upgrades | Dell Ireland

But look like Standard Reference cards. Good Solid cards fitted with the metal backplane each.

As they came part of the PC there is no box for them, they will be supplied in a decent box in an antistatic bag and bubble wrap for safe shipment

Asking price is firm at £250 each or at a discounted price of £475 for the pair (inc insured Shipping)

They are still in place and in use at the moment here are some images

Price and currency: £275 each or £500 the pair
    Delivery: Delivery cost is included
Payment method: Bank Transfer or Cash on Collection
    Location: Huthwaite Nr M1 Jnc 28 Derby/Notts
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

Hi, going to withdraw as after some research the performance difference between my 780 and a 980 doesn't really justify the cost of changing.

    Hi

The Triple Bridge is not for sale I am afraid.. (Its a special size one for the extended gap between cards in the Area 51 R2), and is hugely expensive to replace so I am hanging onto it in case I ever need to increase card count again in the future sorry.

And due to the spacing it wont work in almost any motherboard.

    Yes I know, I have a dual sli area 51 r2 currently ;)
Third card no use to me without the bridge, as you say.

What is the warranty situation with the cards?

Are you still firm on the asking price?

They are covered by the machine warranty for another 2 years but I assume I would have to deal with any warranty claims as its on site warranty with the machine.

I would be willing to do this but it would mean if there is a problem card being returned to me so I could call out for service. So a bit more hassle than doing it yourself, but its onsite next day service so would be resolved quickly.

As for price yes I am sticking to it as they are good cards and although the new 1070s and 1080s will no double be quicker they look like they are going to be pricy.

If these dont fetch the price I want its just easier for me to chuck a couple in the cupboard as backups. (also easier if I ever need to make a warranty claim on the machine)

I'll throw an offer of £200 on the table for one, I know this isn't what you're looking for, but it's not a necessary purchase and worth a try!
    Thanks
