Nuvo-Connected House

Hi,

I've recently purchased a house which the previous owner has wired with a Nuvo system. The speakers and controllers are all present, but he's taken the actual main unit with him.

What options do I have for adding a main unit? Do I have to use Nuvo or could I hook up a Russound instead?

The whole house has CAT5 running through it to distribute the signal.

Thanks

You will be limited to Nuvo, but it is as good, if not better than Russound.

Head units/master controllers/amps are readily available as individual units.

What are the keypads and what do you want it to do?

Thanks for the reply.

Since the house is fully wired and ready to go, I don't mind staying with NuVo, I was just wondering what my options are.

I'm not really thinking of doing anything too spectacular... primarily I'm thinking about setting up something to play my iTunes library (Apple TV probably, if I can make it work) and music channels from my cable provider.

I think the hardest part I'll find is trying to locate a NuVo retailer that won't try to sell me a custom install job too, but I'll just need to do some digging.

Where are you based? There are several dealers here that could help out.
