My Nuvi 255W satnav charger plug does not work in the cigar lighter socket of my Citroen C5. The reason seems to be that the shape of the plug prevents it from reaching down to the contacts in the socket.
Fortunately the C5 has a separate 12v socket to the rear of the gear change lever which works fine but using that socket means that I have cable trailing across the gear lever area which can be dangerous.
What I need is an adapter to fit in the cigar socket which will accommodate the queer shape of the Nuvi plug.
Any proven ideas please?
