hi

i am close to buying a new tv but currently confused between what to choose bw samsungs two sets.
one is last years mu 7000 50" and the other is this years Nu 7100 49''. i know that the 7100 is not the like for like replacement of mu7000 but is it any better than mu 7000.

i plan to play xbx one on it and really want to use HDR in gameplay. so which tv is better suited for that i know that 7100 has better lag than 7000 but 5-6 ms off dont matter

i was hoping for NU 7400 which i read here that it is the newer model for mu7000 but in my country there is only the 7100 which is available so guyz which one is better

NU8000 replaces the MU7/8/9000 from 2017. MU7XXX is better than NU7100 and the 7400.

hmm not sure about the nu7400 being worse than mu7000 but it is definitely better than 7100

and i have seen ur same comment that nu 8000 replaces mu 7/8/9 from 2017. it only replaces MU8xxx not the 9 or the 7 for that matter bcz the 9 series Nu model has not been released yet and 7 series is below its power so plz stop saying that

@bash413 just to let you know @zeppelino is right, Samsung model numbers are awfully confusing.

MU7000, MU8000, MU9000 in the new range is NU8000.
MU6400 is NU7400
MU6100 is NU7100

They do not always make exact copies. In the case of last years MU7,8,9 series the only difference between all the TVs is the MU8000 and MU9000 have a better anti reflection filter and more powerful speakers. The MU9000 of course being the same as the MU8000 except curved.

Hope that clears it up.

btw, do not worry about input lag, all TVs have low enough input lag now.

EDIT* just seen you are in Asia so you have different model numbers from here. Its likely that in Asia you follow the same models as North America so:
MU7000=MU6400 here.
MU8000=MU7000 here
MU9000=MU8000 here

etc

Strictly speaking, and to correct my earlier post, the MU9000 has been replaced by the NU8500 (EU model number)

aha that america vs asian thing clears it up! that is the base of the confusion bcz we were talking about different sets.

so i went and bought a mu7000 tv but it has no bluetooth in it and i really need a wifi headphone to use with this set. can u guyz help me find a good wifi rf headphone (not BT) and also tell me how will it connect to my tv bcz as i understand my tv only has optical audio out as an option. NO RCA or 3.5mm jack so very limited choice.

if any one knows how does the wifi headphones connect to the tv bcz they usually come with a transmitter which is either a usb dongle or in some other shape or form but i can not think that a usb dongle will be able to output sound as sound is coming out from the optical audio port right? so either the transmitter has to connect to optical out to transmit it wirelessly to my headphone or will the usb dongle work as well?

just want to make sure i dont buy a headphone with wrong transmitter and later on there is no sound. also dont buy a tv without BT believe me its a pain in the arse to find ways to cover it. i hate samsung asia for not putting BT in this tv. also it is basically mu6300 or 6400 but they sell it as 7000 here which is cheating tbh! the real mu 7000 is mu 8000 here in asia!

so guyz plz any good wifi headphones and how will it connect?
