    Hi everyone,

Was hoping someone could help me answer this - I have a multi-region Pioneer DVD player and have been trying to play back an NTSC disc on an old Panasonic TV. The audio works fine but the
picture rolls. Does anyone know why this is please?
    Cheers!

If the picture rolls, it is because the TV won't handle the (different) frame and line structure of an NTSC signal And there is little you can do about it.

    Other than

    a) get a cheap chinese DVD player that will fully convert NTSC disc to PAL video. Note that most DVD players with a PAL output DO NOT fully convert and won't fix your problem

    b) standalone standards converter. Expensive (GBP250 or up) so ignore this option

    c) ditch the TV and get one that will handle NTSC.
