I am using a 28ZD26, the smaller brother of the 32ZD26 which I know most of you are using. I have a TOSHIBA 520 DVD player
using Prog Scan, hooked up to the TV via COMPONENT cables.

I was under the impression that automatic "Widescreen Signalling" was only available via SCART, but I was presently suprised when I used a Region 2 PAL disc. It was formatting the
screen in the correct ratio. 4:3, WIDE etc.!

However, using a R1 NTSC disc, the TV refuses to do it. I don't understand! I have tried every option I know to try and get this to work, switching Prog scan off on the DVD etc., but it
still does'nt work. Seeing as 99% of my collection is R1 NTSC, its a feature I would like to get working

Any ideas ??? Does anyone else have this issue?

I call it an issue because, really, I can get around it by forcing the TV to display in WIDE via the remote. It just seems strange
that PAL discs work but NTSC does not? If someone has got this to work, please let me know, you'll be saving me having to use 2 remotes instead of 1!!!

    Regards and Happy New Year.
