Just wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with converters that change NTSC to PAL?

I'll be buying a U.S Panasonic Plasma (NTSC) and shipping it to the Middle East where they use PAL, I'll be watching HD mostly, with SD only when a HD option isn't available.

Just how accurate are converters? I am worried I'll lose picture quality since I won't be using the original signal feed?

PAL and NTSC are standard definition terms - HD is 60Hz, 50Hz or 24p.

You don't really want to be frame rate converting your signal - if you provide a link to the Display and what Sources you are planning to use folk can better advise you.
