Hi all just sold my old Sony DVP-NC615 and got a Sony DVP-NS705 and just found out it hasn't got the NTSC thing built in. Is there a way around this.

I'm not familiar with either of these, but what do you mean by 'NTSC thing'? What symptoms are you experiencing and in what circumstances?

    Aha.......

    Choices:

    1) If the TV and DVD player are both capable of RGB, then use this. Fully wired SCART cable (all pins connected) between DVD and TV - if necessary, set DVD to output RGB and set TV to receive RGB.

If no RGB available on either component....

    2) Buy NTSC > PAL60 converter - get one from Maplins for about GBP50

or, of course, a new TV.
