If i set this to one of the above does it affect pal disks or not?

are you reading the thread in dvd players?

component video is meant to be encoded with zero setup..... so im confused in the reason for this option.

in answer, it would affect your pal disc....

i think i will set it to 0 ire and adjust the my settings in on the plasma for ntsc and pal
