NTL looking to buy ITV

Saw that mentioned on News 24 yesterday. As if they don't have enough debt to deal with!

I wonder what that means to us customers? Perhaps they will start showing ITV programs in 4:3 apect ratio like the flextech channels.

I'm still amazed they paid a billion quid for Virgin mobile. My knowledge of most of these Virgin companies is there's nothing to them apart from a load of contracts with external service providers. Seems to me they got a few customers who can easily switch to another mobile company & the use of the Virgin name - not exactly a bargain.

they paid a billion in theory it was more of a merger as branson is now NTL/Telewest/Virgin Mobiles biggest shareholder

also it will all be called Virgin next year and hopefully he will turn it around to be a real competitor to Sky rather than the joke it is right now

Lets hope they run it better than Virgin trains
