I currently have NTL analogue cable with an analogue set-top box. Bizarrely if I don't use the STB and plug my TV directly into the cable socket on the wall I only lose a few channels, and gain some others (VH1 and Bloomberg for instance).
My question is this: If I use a freeview box with the cable, what am I likely to see? I know that NTL do digital cable, but will a freeview box decode that? Does a line have to be "Enabled" to allow digital?
I have a TV card in my PC. This is connected to NTL Broadband and with a splitter I can get radio and Cable TV as well so perhaps all the info is there all the time, it just needs decoding...
