    Can folks please tell me what the picture quality is like on their respective plasmas when using a ntl cable box. The reason being that I watch a lot of sports (sky) and wanted to get a display that could handle this.

    Cheers

    No complaints on mine either and I watch a lot of footie.

    Panny 5 series 37 inch connected to VGA via a JS RGB->VGA box.

    I've used the following methods that are all perfect:

    NTL - > Panny Tuner box
    NTL -> Panny SCART board

    NTL -> JS Plasma VGA -> VGA port

    all look perfect.

    Neil.

    Im using NTL Digital connected as below to a 42" Panny 3 Series... quality is as good as i believe you can get.... with this kit combo

    NTL Digi - RGB Scart -> Tivo
    Tivo -> RGB->VGA Converter (JSim)
    Converter -> Dsub on plasma...

    Pretty good picutre overall.. some greyscale issues and slight bleed on reds, but i put that down to the dated plasma :) Latest models should be better.

    Cheers,
    Kev

    jmack,

    Yup :D

    Plug and play.

    i finally hooked it up about a month ago :D

    Picture is better than an RGB to VGA convertor, the rgb2vga suffers on skin tones compared to the direct in.

    Now deciding on what to do with the tuner box :D

    Neil.

    Don't know about NTL digital, but if it's NTL analogue then it'll look crap on any plasma......or any 14" CRT portable for that matter! ;)
