Has anyone on this package tried to get a free upgrade of their broadband speed from the standard 1 meg connection?

When I received my last NTL bill there was a leaflet saying that all 1mB Broadband was going to be upgraded to 2MB free of charge with no increase in the cost. I'm still waiting for the action. To be fair it said that updates would take place over a couple of months.

i didnt get an upgrade but i did get £7.5 a month taken off the bill after a bit of complaining. so its 3 for £22.50!

I'd just posted about in another thread but this kind of answers my question as to why i can't get a free upgrade to 2MB yet:rolleyes: :smashin:

I got the 10mb for 34.99 per month and pay around a tenner each for phone and tv. It seems that the 10mb service hasnt been integrated into a bb/tv/phone deal of some kind. Does anyone know any different?

That's correct. I have had my broadband speed at all speeds and have settled for 4mb and pay extra for it. The £34.99 for 10mb was just too much for me....

Ive just spent an hour on the phone to the complaints department trying to get them to sort out the incorrect bills that I have phone customer service every month for the past 4. TThey told me my phone (that was switched to BT by an engineer visit on 18th August) was pending disconnection in November and their system would charge £25 a month for the phone until then despite me them giving 30 days notification of termination on July 18. There initial offer which I was told was very generous was to credit the last 2months overcharge on the next bill, They finally agreed to credit the October overcharge on October bill and credit me £75! Anything could happen next........... dont forget to call head office on 01256 rather than the 8p minute numbers they ask you to use. If the rebates all happen I will be charged £25/month for 4mb exchange is being enabled for Sky in January!!! cant be any worse and a lot cheaper
