NP-FH & NP-FP Batteries

Sony NP-FH users will be aware that their batteries are backward compatable with older Sony NP-FP types ( but not vica versa ).
The Sony compatable FH batts that are available much cheaper and have the short lead attached that fools the Sony cam into thinking power is being supplied from the mains work fine on a HC39E camcorder.
There is no need to connect the lead to the battery and battery info is provided ( unlike useing them on a newer FH battery cam ).
 
I just received a NP-FH100 replacement through the post today. Cost me £17.99 delivered from Hong Kong. I didn't realize it needed a wire from the battery to the camera when I bought it, but it's not a biggy I suppose. I was a bit concerned that it may somehow damage the camera, but I'm a bit happier now after doing some research.
