Well before I started reading things here I thought I knew which TV I wanted...now I frankly have no idea

Budget is around £1000 .. was £800 last week so probably not set in stone :) Needs a stand too.

Current options are as follows with my perceived pros & cons:

    Sony 32FX68U
Pros: Links with my Sony VCR, looks, great reviews re: pic quality
Cons: Read loads about 'buzzing' problems

    Sony 32FQ70U
Pros: Links with my Sony VCR, looks, good reviews
Cons: Pic not as good as 32FX68U, a touch pricey

    Philips 32PW9308
    Pros: Great reviews
Cons: ...but actual owners slate it ?!?!

    JVC HV32P37
    Pros: Looks, price, features
    Cons: ..D.I.S.T pic quality slated.

Any others I've missed? Are the buzzing problems on the Sony on EVERY set? Or just a quality issue?

    Cheers,
    A

    Hi Monty1977,
I have had the Sony KV-32KFX68U for 2 weeks now after having 2 Pannys in 2 years (tubes blown)
I have no buzzing noises and the picture and sound is brilliant,
    can't fault it!!
    Cheers

    hiya Monty1977 :)

i too have the Sony KV-32FX68 and love it

had no 'buzzing' and no other probs to report of :smashin:

i was also looking at that tv [amongst others...] but just didn't have the funds in the end. i ave to say that now i have my set, that i don't know how much more i would personally have gained by spending a few hundred more...

    good luck!

I've got the Sony FX68 too now and I'm delighted with the picture. The only thing that bugs me is the fact that the audio outs are only any use when you turn the TV speakers off. This wouldn't be bad in itself but the TV defaults to speakers on whenever you switch it on.

Just seen one in the 'flesh' - handsome set indeed but very bulky compared to the 32" Tosh I also looked at.

I do wish retailers wouldn't insist on showing every TV in the shop off with Toy Story ... that looks good on pretty much any TV, hardly a test!

Saw a few of the Philips Pixel+ sets.....have to say I dont like the picture

Just got the Sony 32FX68U, very pleased, great picture and looks good too (which is very important to my color co-ordinated girlfriend).
