Your entry made me laugh. Have just looked at your photo site - some excellent photos there mate. Especially like the one of the people at the end of the corridor / glass window. The Alphabet shots are really inventive too. What cam have you got?

cheers! the people shots you mention were taken in the Tate Modern by one of the escalators.

got myself the now ubiquitous Canon 300D with kit lens in September (my first proper camera, let alone an SLR!), and have been snapping away ever since...

It's good you boys are taking photo's for the comp, it's what its all about. To get us all out there enjoying it. Thats what the comp is best for, i drove 18 miles to entwistle to try to get some ducks to fly for the comp, would they fly? Would they ffff:laugh: By the time time they did my hands were that frozen wasn't really quick enough to get them or they were too far out:laugh: Need a zoom lens me thinks, which i told diane (hint for xmas)

We never go up there this time of year, but the comp got us up there and we had a really nice time. Took Dianes mums dog up and a flask of tea, and when you're in a place like the second picture shows, you dont mind the cold so much :smashin:

first pic.. lazy mother ducks

So thanks to the comp for a really nice day

Yeah mate, just click on manage files. It has to be 120kb or less as you said. Best way to do that is resize your photos to around 800x600 or less

I don't think it will be that difficult. Mine is the obvious winner due to the thought that went into it, the interpretation of the subject line and the quality of shot.

I reckon johndm's entry will be 2nd :smashin:

:rotfl: I actually meant me, you seem pretty clued up with that new toy of yours already. Trashing mine made really good financial sense :suicide:
I read the destructions and am even more in the dark now than before

I wouldn't say my hardware is expensive, in fact its fairly cheap and designed to be 'easy to use' with room for more adjustments as you gain a bit of knowledge.

I'm still on the Auto setting at the moment. I play and sometimes get a decent result, but overall it's just luck :(
