Nova launcher issue

I don't know if it's down to recent update but all my home screen folders in nova launcher now have a white outline. It's only folders and not app icons. I really don't like it but can't figure out how to turn it off. Can anyone help?

I'm managed to fix it but it wasn't an obvious fix. I tend to fire and forget with aps like these so probably haven't delved into the menus in nearly 3 years.

Nova v6 has brought some new display options and different menu layout.
