Not sure if other Nottingham(shire)/Derby(shire) Area EV Owners on here.

But there is a meeting with the council and chargemaster on 11th Jan at EMTEC College Ruddington NG116JS 5.30pm to 9pm

To discuss the implementation of the new Nottingham/Derby Charging network N2D2 being provided by Chargemaster/Polar

This will cover the costings of the system (Looks like a multi tier based pricing) with prices for locals on a special card then Polar Pricing then PAYG pricing (Trust the council to make it complicated)

It will cover the timescale of getting the chargers in etc. and for people to bring up questions concerns etc.

So if you are in the area and think it may affect you worth attending. The email to contact to register is below.

Will add outcome and details to this thread after the event.

An Update for EV Drivers from the Chargemaster/Nottingham Council Meeting Tonight

Over the next 2 years Chargemaster will install 230 chargers in the NG & DE Postcodes these will be run under the D2N2 Branding.

There will be a mixture of 7kw Type 2, 22Kw Type 2, and Tripe Head Rapid Ultrachargers

Although run by Polar they will not be network locked.

The Rapid Chargers will all take payment by Contactless Debit/Credit Cards this will be charged at 25p per KWH with no connection fee

People living in the DE and NG Postcode areas can apply for a D2N2 RFID Card that will give a discounted rate of 20p KWH

Polar Plus Subscribers will be able to use the chargers at the normal rate of 9p+vat (10.8p) per KWH

The Fast 7kw & 22kw chargers will be at the same rates but WILL NOT have Contactless card readers so payment will need to be at 25p KWH by an app, or 20p KWH by a D2N2 card, or10.8p KWH with a Polar Plus RFID Card

People in the the D2N2 Postcode area that get the D2N2 RFID Card will also be able to use at it all CYC Charge points around the country and at Chargeplace Scotland Points. but WILL NOT be able to use it to access Polar Chargers outside the D2N2 area.

There will be other chargers installed on top of this amount as part of the normal Polar expansion, and those will also be available on the D2N2 card if they are in a DE or NG Postcode location.

So all in all very good to see a network that is giving open access (even though its not cost viable to have contactless card readers on the 7kw & 22kw Posts) at the moment.

Hopefully see this joined up thinking rolled out in other areas.
