Today there is the Sci-Fi/Fantasy film Mysterious Island on at 2.55 on Ch4.

Then tonight is ‘Enter The Dragon’. at 10 on Five (clashes with 24).

Monday 8.30 ITV ‘From Russia With Love’ one of Bonds finest, and most credible of the series. And from one of JFK’s favourite books. (Now why did they show this and Goldfinger the wrong way round).

On Wednesday ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ on CH at 1.35 pm

On Thursday evening at 11.40 is ‘Above Suspicion’ which was sadly a very ironic film for Christopher Reeves (if you have seen it or watch it you will know what I mean). And it was also his last film before his poignant accident.

I was going to mention that one but I did not think any one but me would be interested.

But for those who are interested it is on at 1.35pm Monday.
Look out for William Hartnell (the first Dr Who) in it.

    Well done Doctorb,

I would've have missed this for sure. Been wanting to see it for ages but by the time I decided to get it on DVD it had been deleted. I'm still waiting for the Sci-Fi channel to start showing the series again. Brilliant show.

Blimy I forgot how violent it was for the year it came out.

That theater 3000-the movie! is it the one where 3 aliens sit at the front of a cinema screen and watch old films and spoil them.

Well actually it's one human and two robots that sit in front of a movie screen and I would say that they poke fun at the movies rather than spoil them.

As I've never seen the MST3K: The Movie I can't say it's brilliant example (just in case it turns out to be poor) but the episodes shown on the Sci-Fi Channel were very funny.
    Favorites would have to be....
I Was A Teenage Werewolf, Time Chasers, Devil Doll, Pumaman, Terror From The Year 5000, Agent for HARM and Jack Frost.

If you've ever laughed at a B-movie's shaky sets or dodgy acting you have to watch MST3K.

Hi Rich, what ever as I have only watched it for a short while and what I saw was in silhouette. Some of the films they showed I have never seen and would have liked to have seen them without the interruptions. It seemed like going to the pictures and having Beeves and Butthead sat in front of you. Would have liked to have seen the Jack Frost one as it looked just right to have the p**s taken out of it.
As I say I was trying to watch the film so I suppose I should have been listening to the comments instead. Anyway I will give it a try tomorrow.

Some of the films riffed by MST3K are so bad their versions turn a unwatchable serious film into something hilarious, not to mention the repeat value (pick up new jokes every time!)
I haven`t seen the movie and i believe its shorter than an episode of the series, and most fans don`t rate it, but a good intro to the series (at the moment only available on dvd unless sci-fi or another channel take it up).

I see they are taking the mick out of This Island Earth in this one. I can see some jokes coming with the foreheads and the BEM’s. There is a fault in the logic where they pressures for the new planet and back how can someone be pressured and some not be, be in the same environment!!!!!

Okay, it was quite amusing but MST3K: The Movie is nowhere near as good as the series. If there is anyone out there who has just watched the film and thought "That was complete rubbish", please give them another chance and watch an episode from the series, it will be worth it.
MST3K: The Movie - another example of a programme that doesn't really work with a bigger movie budget.

Yes I was not too impressed with the film, could be they choose a film that is such a favourite to take the p*** out of. And when they were using joke like ‘I’ve just broke wind.’
