Firstly this is not me thankfully cos it dont look very nice and obviously rather sore.
My mate sent me the picture couple days ago, he done it few nights ago on a call out and spilled liquid refrigerant on it, Never said what exactly happened mind you not seen him proper since. He does Air Con.
He'll be off work for a few weeks or so and he loves his Pro Evo and GTA and so be none of that for a while.
Typical when ur off and cant get the games out to help with the boredom.
    Just glad it's not me.lol

    Ouch!

Well CIV Rev could be a good option, anything turned based :)

Or there's that game you can control entirely by voice, Tom Clancy's thing... Not sure if it's any good though.

Ouch. I to work with loads of potential accidents in waiting. Nitrogen liquid and gas, steam, oils etc... so this is a nice reminder for me. It's bad enough just having a blister, that looks seriously painful. Luckily I'm not squeamish so the pic was ok with the porridge.

'Tis only a flesh wound! Nah, really it does look rather painfull. Never had a coolant burn, but I have had rather a lot of burns on my hands and yes it would restrict gaming, especially there.

Good idea, I think it's End War you're talking about, that reminds me I must unwrap and try my copy, only bought it originally for the headset, but i belive the game is supposed to be quite good too.

I have at different times broken both my wrists which has caused gaming problems but where there is a will there is a way.

I don't do things by half - on both occasions i was told by the surgeon who operated that it was the worst wrist break they had ever seen!!

The first time was a football injury which required me to have external fixers in place for months - looked a bit like meccano scaffolding - that was about 13 years ago. At the time i had a sega saturn so figured the only thing for it was to get virtua cop 2 for 1 handed light gun action. It was my left wrist - i am left handed. Can't tell you how much better my hand eye coordination was with my right hand after a few weeks practice!

The second time (last May) i fell off a ladder:suicide:

That resulted in me getting a plate in my right wrist and a cast - couldn't move my wrist at all for several weeks after the cast came off and more than a year later it still isn't right but i did still manage to play most games and indeed the physiotherapist suggested i should play as much as possible to help with fine motor skills!! I did ask if i could get a prescription for new games but for some reason that isn't available on the NHS:D

So i think it's more a case of finding what games you can play despite an injury rather than not playing:smashin:

This is why Project Natal is the future of gaming.:D This poor sod would be able to still do gaming if it was already out as he wouldn't need to hold a controller

Mine's certainly not as nasty looking but it was equally damaging to gaming. Even after this was straightened it was a couple of weeks before I could bend it around the L1 / L2 buttons. All better now though :)
